Darksiders 2

So I wrapped up playing Darksiders 2 so I thought I would write a few words about playing a game I was really looking forward to after having a great experience with the first game. Most of the game I was definitely enjoying it, I had a few small issues with the game. 

 

First of all the quick kill executions for small and weak creatures hardly worked for me most of the time, while in the first game I use to kill them in quick succession. Most of the times I died in the game were in part to my lack of skill in the “Prince of Persia” Style wall running and jumping, I fully admit my lack of skill in this department but also point the blame at my character’s full on unwillingness to look in the direction I was telling him to go. 

 

When I first loaded the game I was super excited to jump in and start deathing it up…But for some reason I had to sit at a loading screen for fifteen minutes while the game connected to a THQ server! After three different attempts to load the game I literally had to unplug my either net cable and start the game offline, to even play the fucker.  

 

Even with all the shit that bugs me about the game I thought it was an awesome follow up to the first…SURE it has some big’ol fat plot holes but that shouldn’t matter. What’s important is that the game is fun, combat is sweet and being able to get loot and upgrade your gear is worth it. If I had to choose between buying it or renting it I would say buy it, enjoy it and replay the shit out of it.
